Khadija was born in Somolia and grew up in Kenya. She moved to Maine with her family in 2004 to escape civil war in her native country. Her interest in food and local agriculture stems from her mother, who is a farmer at Fresh Start Farms in Lisbon. She looks forward to providing her community with a source of quality, Maine-grown food.
